The Unrelated History
Unrelated Media started it’s ventures in 1998 using the company name Shadow Flash Design. As the name indicates a special focus was had on Adobe Flash (Macromedia at the time) development. As the challenge of web development continued it was noted that major search engines were not able to see flash content and this made the use of Flash a poor choice for website content.
By 2003 Shadow Flash Design had completely converted to non-flash development and design. This stemmed a need for a new name to reflect the changes. A new focus on more areas of media such as graphic design and print become the need over the next few years. In early 2007 a new bridge was made with television and the discovery of video editing and special effects using Adobe After Effects was made.
By 2008 Shadow Flash Design was completely remade. Services extended past simple web design to include integration of several Content Management systems such as Joomla, Drupal and others. Logos and corporate identity were added to the list of services, along with many print media options such as business cards, brochures, and even posters. Search engine optimization was included by way of content editing and clean code for websites. Internet marketing was also part of the development analysis and process.
After being contracted to add special effects to a whale documentary for an Australian video production company video editing was added to the services…
Somehow the original name just didn’t fit all the services that could be offered. No longer just a flash design company, but a company that offered a very broad range of analysis, design, many other services a new name was born in 2009:
Welcome to all things media, and many services that are completely unrelated to media such as systems analysis, database administration, and how to make the perfect coffee.
